Today we are sharing a favorite nature memory submitted by one of our followers. Thank you for being part of the Public by Nature community.
One of my favorite memories in nature is from a family road trip along the coasts of California and Oregon. The beaches were cold and windy, but they were so unbelievably beautiful that we didn’t even care. One evening, we pulled off the highway and found a random campsite tucked into the trees, and it ended up becoming our favorite place we have ever stayed. It was surrounded by giant redwoods and filled with wildlife, the kind of spot that feels untouched and quietly magical. Waking up there, wrapped in layers with the smell of pine and ocean in the air, is a memory I still hold onto. It reminded me how powerful and grounding it can feel to be out in nature, especially in places you stumble upon by accident.
